Jellin Lian (She/Her)

Tier I therapist/coach

Welcome to therapy! Seeking therapy is a courageous choice, and I deeply understand the reasons people come to therapy. Therapy is a collaborative and transformative process that goes beyond offering guidance or advice. It involves fostering a deep understanding of your unique experiences, emotions, and perspectives, helping you discover inner strengths and build a more fulfilling life.

As your therapist, I am committed to truly listening to you without judgment. Together, we will uncover insights, develop coping strategies, and cultivate a stronger sense of self. I firmly believe that therapy has the potential to empower you, ignite your inner resilience, and enable you to navigate life challenges with greater clarity and purpose. I am here to support you on your unique journey towards healing and personal growth.

I offer services in both English and Mandarin.

My Story

My own journey began in China, where I was raised in a culturally rich environment. Pursuing my passion for psychology, I embarked on a path to the United States. Immersed in diverse academic and cultural settings, I developed a deep appreciation for the complexities of the human mind and the impact of cultural factors on mental health.

Throughout my career, I have engaged in various research projects focusing on mental wellness, including the LGBTQ population, gender ideologies among children, and PTSD. I have worked with teenagers and adults in clinical settings in both China and the United States. These cross-cultural experiences have shaped my therapeutic approach, enabling me to offer a compassionate and culturally sensitive perspective to individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly those with marginalized identities.

Therapeutic Approaches:

As a therapist, I believe in a client-centered and holistic approach to therapy. I see each person as a unique individual with their own strengths, experiences, and needs. Drawing from therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches, I tailor my approach to meet your specific goals and preferences. I also incorporate an affirmative approach that emphasizes respect, validation, and support for the diverse identities and experiences of individuals, especially those from marginalized or minority communities. My goal is to create a warm and non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and concerns.

Together, let's embark on a journey of healing, growth, and self-discovery.
