Natalia de la Vega Martínez (She/Her)

Tier I Therapist

Greetings! I'm Natalia, a mental health counselor in training who is passionate about helping individuals achieve wellness. Since a young age, I have felt a strong calling to support others through difficult circumstances that may cause psychological discomfort. I believe that wellness is an ongoing pursuit and motivates people to strive for better every day.

My goal when meeting with you is to create a safe, comfortable space where you can be your authentic self. Together, we will identify the path towards a fulfilling life, focusing on cultivating a positive relationship with yourself and reframing negative thoughts that trigger uncomfortable feelings.

I offer services in English and Spanish. I'm excited to help you on your journey towards wellness, and I look forward to meeting you!

My Story

My passion for helping people in difficult situations was ignited during my time at FANA, an adoption institution, where I witnessed the mental health struggles of adults and potential caregivers. This experience reinforced the importance of considering an individual's cultural and social context for a successful therapeutic relationship and a long-lasting recovery. As a mental health counselor, I am dedicated to my personal and professional development and promoting social justice for all individuals.

As a female Colombian international student who has had the privilege of working with underserved client populations in the U.S., Colombia, and Spain, I understand how gender, race, cultural, and intersectional identities influence one's mental health. Hence, I am committed to providing accessible and culturally sensitive services to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Therapeutic Approaches

My clinical approaches include evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Systemic Psychotherapy. During therapy sessions, I use guided conversations to identify goals and help you live a fulfilling life. I help reframe negative thoughts that trigger uncomfortable feelings into ones that promote inner peace and joy.
