Evé(She/Her)

Coming to the United States as an "immigrant" /rescue dog myself in 2017, I deeply understand  the challenges in the international community, the painful process of loss and separation from your families, and difficulties to fit in. I found my strengths to recover through the human-canine bond. I'm inspired by my therapist mama and want to be a part of her therapy practice.

Dog therapy builds on the pre-existing human-canine bond. Interacting with a friendly dog like me can help many physical and mental issues. It can help reduce blood pressure and improve overall cardiovascular health. It can also release endorphins that produce a calming effect. This can help alleviate pain, reduce stress, and improve your overall psychological state.

More about me

I was born in South Korea on a meat farm. I was lucky to be rescued right before I became an "edible" mature dog. An animal rescue agency in South Korea cared for me for 6 months until I recover from previous injuries and I took a super-long haul  flight to the US. I found my FURever home the day after I arrived in the US!!!

I was socially awkward with other dogs before but I have been successfully desensitizing from my social anxiety with dogs. Dog parks are my favorite places now.

I'm still afraid of metal surface and noises due to past traumas.  I've been working on grounding skills and gradual desensitization plans with Huilin since she adopted me. I hate the process of walking across the metal bridge, but I really enjoy the treats after each successful attempt.
